Cuts Like A Knife (1983)
Review by Karl Watson

Now this is a great rock album. When I first heard “I'm Ready”, it instantly became one of my favourite BA tracks. The Unplugged version is, y'know, lovely, but this version is what it's all about.

The title track has always been one of the highlights of BA's live show, and I'd love to see the look on the faces of the audiences today if BA did the full story in “Take Me Back”. “Straight From The Heart” is a classic ballad and works in any format; but I prefer the recent live version of “The Best Was Yet To Come”, where BA exchanges the über-80s keyboards for the acoustic guitar.

“Don't Leave Me Lonely” deserves a mention as one of BA's greatest under performed tracks.
