So Far So Good (1993)
Review by Karl Watson

Now this is what I call a best of. A true “best of” should not only have the artist’s greatest hits, but also be a great representation of who the artist is and what their best work is. With a ratio of 9 rockers to 4 ballads, and every song an absolute classic of his career thus far, you couldn’t ask for a better collection than this. Some may complain over the fact that there’s no music from BA’s first 2 albums, and only one track from Into The Fire – but if you had to keep the number of tracks at 14, I ask you which track would you take off!? Exactly. After finally hearing the title track “So Far So Good”, as much as I like it, I think BA made the right choice in keeping it off this album.

Greatest hits packages are for the casual listeners, not the die hard fans. I cringe whenever I see someone who only owns The Best Of Me, but not when they only own So Far So Good.
