So Far So Good (1993)
Review by Steven Stanley

Not really a fan of 'best of's' if I'm honest, but after the success of 'Everything I Do' it was always going to happen. Truth be told it was probably a good thing because it brought to peoples attention the rocker in Bryan and the other amazing songs he'd done previously. It does have a tracklist that is spot on as well. There isn't one song you would take off and swap for another, and the then 'new' track 'Please Forgive Me' fits in perfectly.

Bryan did write a song called 'So Far So Good' for this album but Bruce Allen didn't think it was strong enough and it got binned at the 11th hour... a good decision because although it's a fun song, it would have looked out of it's depth on here. It did eventually get released on 2005's 'Anthology' collection.

Even though it wasn't a single, 'Kids Wanna Rock' features as it's easily one of his best songs. It shows the record company actually sat down and thought about it though, instead of releasing his most successful songs and thats what makes this album such a good listen. The quality and tracklisting order on here is undeniable, hence the 4 stars. If you liked jeans and a t-shirt Bryan before he got down with the kids - this ones for you.
