Let's Make A Night To Remember
Released
at the very peak of BA's popularity on August 5th '96 right after the sellout
European tour and BA's 'night to remember' at Wembley Stadium this single was
a hit around the world. | 'Let's
Make A Night To Remember' first started being written on tour in Australia early
'94 and was recorded at the Warehouse Studio Mobile Unit the next year. Other
songs released as b-sides with this single include the following: B-sides:
Rock
Steady - This song was originally recorded by Bonnie Raitt and Adams as a duet
for Bonnie's live record in 1995. This is the original demo tape with BA on guitar
and Keith Scott on slide guitar, the drums and bass were programmed by Olle Romo.
Recording for this song was done at the Warehouse Studio in Vancouver before the
writing for new album '18 Til I Die' had started. If
Ya Wanna Be Bad Ya Gotta Be Good - This is a demo of a song written at the same
time as 'Rock Steady'. Both these songs were co-written with Gretchen Peters.
The other song written at this time was 'Hey Elvis' which appeared as a b-side
of 'The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You'. Hey
Little Girl - This songs was one of the first songs written for the album '18
Til I Die'. Recording for the song was done by the Warehouse Studio Mobile Unit
in a house in Jamaica in the autumn of 1994. Little
Red Rooster - This song was recorded on a single microphone for the CBC documentary
'Waking Up The Nation' in 1993. The quality of the recording varies due to the
microphone being attached to the camera. This is probably
one of the best single packages BA has ever released along with the 'Star' and
'18 Til I Die' singles which were a real treat for fans, especially in the UK.
It's worth noting that Japan and America got 'Star' as a b-side as the following
CD single wasn't released in those countries...which was obviously pre-planned
for some reason. |
