24/01/04 - DOBBIE'S S&S CLUB, BOLTON

We decided to do this show pretty much last minute and only got there in time for the second set. The 'club' was a bowtie affair and we weren't even allowed in to watch them! Adrian soon sorted that though and phoned the band who very kindly got us in as their roadies! We were escorted through the place by a guy out of phoenix nights lol...(for anyone familar which the series 'Phoenix Nights' by Peter Kay.....this place was a dead ringer for the Phoenix Club!). The whole place was exactly the same....they had the cheesy sidekick man, the job lot...me and Adrian couldn't stop laffing.

Due to the nature of the place the crowd took some warming up but once they got warmed up the band didn't let them sit down and played loads of rock numbers including 'There Will Never Be Another Tonight' and 'Kids Wanna Rock'. Highlight of the night for me was 'Let's Make A Night To Remember' because they did the 8 minute version and it was the best BA song I have ever heard them do....really good.
