25/05/96 - ROCK AM RING, NURBURGRING

At the height of his European fame during the 'Summer Of '96', BA kicks off the 18 tour at the Nurburgring in Germany. He headlines the massive festival and premieres all new material in the form of 'The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You', 'Do To You', '18 Til I Die' and '(I Wanna Be) Your Underwear'. 'The Only Thing' was already out to radio around the world, but the latter 3 tracks were being heard for the very first time by the audience. It just shows you how big he was... playing to an audience of over 60,000 people and a large part of the show playing songs that nobody knew!

Before the days of internet sample tracks and mass-bootleg audiences, this must have been such a great experience to hear a bunch of new songs before anyone else. This was the first festival show of 2 in Germany over the weekend.... the actual full 18 Tour didn't kick in for another couple of weeks.
