JK STADIUM, KATOWICE
Bryan hits the Spodek Hall in Katowice, Poland for
the first time midway during the mammoth '18 Til I Die Tour' of
'96. Originally this show was scheduled for the JK Stadium but got
downgraded... much like the Glasgow show on the same tour (Ibrox
> SECC)

Review by Lukas Witek:
The show in Katowice, Poland back in 1996 during 18 til I
die tour which was the best Bryans tour so far to me
was magnificent. I have no doubt this was the best gig I have ever
seen. BA played in Spodek Hall, Katowice 9th July 1996. There were
Melissa Etheridge and Edyta Bartosiewicz (Polish singer) as supports.
Bryan opened the show from The Only Thing on his Gretsch which sounded
really awesome! Then he played Do to you and Kids Wanna Rock!

Actually the setlist was very similar to others
from 18 til I die tour. I remember the band was in fantastic mood,
Bryan was having good time joking with audience all the time. He
sang Summer of 69 with some guy from the audience, who said: Bryan
youre the best (after that he got a beer from BA). Bryan
surprised us when he invited Tina Turner on stage as a special secret
guest to sing Its Only Love with him. When she did not appear
after second announcement, BA said hed try to sing like Tina
during her parts if nobody laughs.
Of course there was a B-stage, dancing with people
from the audience, Keith and BA let some guys to play their guitars.
Before Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman, BA said there are many
beautiful women in Poland. Generally when he was not singing he
was running with a guitar across the stage. It was really great
rock concert with lots of rock energy that misses nowadays.
