15/04/99 - LA ZONA ROSA, AUSTIN, TEXAS

Review by Tanya:
Just wanted to share my INCREDIBLE night w/you. Saw the one and only Mr. Bryan Adams last night. It was in Austin, TX, and man what a show it was. The place he played at was only 1500 people max, standing room only so we were packed in like sardines. I was in front of the stage but to the far right. Mr. Keith Scott was right in front of me, and believe me he puts on a great show himself! Bryan of course was amazing! It was just the three, Bryan, Keith, and Mr. Mickey Curry. Bryan even ventured to my side of the stage and was right in front of me, I got to touch his left leg!! And I showed him a picture that I drew of him and he looked at it and said that it was very good. And after the show he kindly gave me an autograph on the picture that I drew. So This was a dream come true for me! I've waited 20 yrs for that moment, and I'll never forget it. It made my LIFE!

Well, lets see, how the night was, Bryan of course was great! Like I said it was the three, Bryan, Mickey, and Keith. Just the three were very awesome. Can't remember what song he played first, but I do know he played many of his
duets :"When you're gone, It's only love, and Rock Steady". The crowd went wild when he played "Summer of 69, and Run To You." And of course "Heaven and Somebody", was great too! He said that a London paper had all the top 100 songs of the millennium and he couldn't believe he had to read this to find it out, but "Everything I do (I do it for you), was number 79. Pretty impressive! He couldn't believe that noone told him and that he had to read it in the paper! Also sang Cut's Like a Knife, I'm ready, and the rendition of If ya wanna be bad,ya gotta be good (pretty funny, he acted "prissy" ). Crowd had a ball w/ that one! He also sang "Can't stop this thing we started, Back To You.

Of course he sang plenty of the songs off the new album. He dedicated "On a Day Like Today," to the three soldiers held captive in the war. Bryan said that even though the song really has nothing to do w/ the situation he felt that we should think of other stuff that's going on far away from us and he wanted to sing that song for them. The crowd went wild when he did that, it was great! I mean my friend that I dragged along with me said that during the song she started to cry, it really got to her. She said the concert made something spiritual come out in her. I made her a fan. Other songs he sang were, "C'mon c'mon c'mon, Getaway (crowd loved that one), Cloud number nine, I'm a liar, before the night is over, I don't wanna live forever (played it real fast, faster than on the CD).

I think that covers all the songs played. I mean he put on a spectacular show, even joked harshley w/ some of the fans. I mean it was funny. Keith was right in front of me and he jammed bigtime! I mean He's great, my friend got one of his guitar pics! And of course Mickey was great! Threw the drumsticks out in the crowd. After the initial concert was over they of course came back for an encore (Played about three songs), left and then they came back again(unexpectedly), I mean the lights were already turned on and stuff and people were starting to pile out and there Bryan was! He said that we were such a great crowd that they wanted to give us more! woo hooo! So they sang about three more songs! That was so awesome. And after the show my friend and I went back were his van was and there was a little crowd of people getting autographs. He kindly stuck around long enough to give me one (Thank God)! I mean I was probably the LAST one to get one!

So there ya go , hope that this was useful for ya, Like I said it was a dream come true for me, I mean literally, I've always dreamed of seeing him that close in concert and get an autograph! And both happened!
