08/03/02 - BRIGHTON CENTRE

Stanley:
...if you have just read my Cardiff review then by the time we got
back to the hotel we were that hyper we were just talking all night
and decided to set off for Brighton early at about 5am so we did.
We got to our hotel ok and were at the venue for middayish again
but first we had to make a few pit-stops:
1 - Develop photos
2 - Get BA's signiture tattooed on Adrian's back
3 - Go on arcades seeing as we were in Brighton!
This was a really small venue tonight with lots of wierd and wonderful
entrances. We did manage to meet a still ill Nerina Pallot though
just before she went in.
The setlist tonight was of course different because the venue was
too small to have a b-stage and surprisingly he didn't do 'The Best
Of Me'! He was on form though again and after the opening chords
of 'Summer Of '69' he sang 'there she was just walkin down the street'!
Also during 'It's Only Love' he was doing his Tina Turner impressions...perhaps
fuelling rumours that she will appear at Wembley with him. One of
the roadies already said tonight that Mel C should be there plus
another guest! Good gig of course because it's BA but for me the
worst of the UK tour so far...the setlist was cut 25 minutes than
usual!
