11/03/02 - SHEFFIELD ARENA Review by Steven Stanley:
Sadly, this gig in my hometwon last night was my last of a bloody amazing week...and it was the best as well! Me and my friend Hannah got on the arena floor when it was empty and got to the barrier first front row bang in the middle!!! The best place in the whole arena! That was the start of a brilliant night. After Nerina Pallot went off (who is very good look out for her in the future) it was only a matter of time before Bryan took to the stage and when he did Sheffield went nuts!

The setlist was also the longest of the tour so far I believe by one song and on the b-stage he did 'I Fought The Law' and 'Wild Thing' which is a first for the 2002 UK Tour.

During 'Cuts Like A Knife' Bryan did he customary 'drop the mike in the crowd routine' and I got to sing in it...yes that was me singing crap but I don't give a **** it was awesome! I handed him it back and he wiped it clean as if I'd gobbed all over it lol. I was getting loads of interaction with Bryan and Keith during the gig it was great. At the end I even got one of Mickey's drumsticks again...my second of the tour! I have both kinds that he uses now!

At the end of the gig Bryan apologised for having to switch the dates around short notice and then he went off. We stayed at the end of the show and got a fair amount of time with Mickey...he stayed for pictures and autographs and a few people got Keith but that was it. Bryan went around the other way and nobody saw him...at least when I left anyway. When Adrian went backstage at Wembley the otehr night he asked BA if he would do 'There Will Never Be Another Tonight' in Sheffield and BA said he would if he had time but they must have dropped it for an extra b-stage song. During the soundcheck in Sheffield we heard 'Don't Know What We're Doing' and 'Getaway'.

This tour has been awesome and I can't wait to do it again! Oh yeah and Mickey said that Bryan's new album (not the soundtrack a proper brand new BA album) should be out in the fall and they expect to tour the UK again in July with some summer shows! By the way...
