26/07/02 - BLICKLING HALL,
NORFOLK Review by Sophie Walker: After
seeing Bryan at Hyde Park, had to go see him again, and so Norwich was next on
the agenda. Didnt arrive until about 6pm, as the traffic from London was so bad,
but when we got there, the place was full of picnic hampers, and tables, and people
with glasses, and no I'm not kidding! So we strolled down to the front very easily,
and got in the 3rd row! Vega 4, the support band, were excellent, with the
lead singer ending by going into the crowd up to the B-stage and then running
back through the crowd to the front, managing to lose his microphone! On came
Bryan, singing Here I am. The crowd was great, all those picnic tables some how
had disappeared and the place was rocking. One if the best atmospheres I have
been in, even if a girl next to me threw up on herself, and also did a wee standing
in the corwd, nice! Yes, alot of alcohol was present at this venue!!! Best
part of the gig for me was that I got picked to do When You're Gone!! Cant really
comment, seeing as I cant talk about myself, but it was amazing, stil cant stop
smiling about it, and thinking of hugging Bryan!!!! Bryan did five songs on
the b-stage, I think (found it hard to concentrate after I had been on stage!),
and then back to the main for run to you, abd cloud number 9, and then the encore
with final song best of me. When it was all over, Bryan said that he never knows
what to expect at new venues and stuff, but from the bottom of his heart, it had
been a fantastic audience and night! I have to say, regardless of me getting to
do WYG, it was a brilliant concert, better than Hyde Park, and far better than
Warwick, although they both were good as well. | | |
