STUTTGART
Review by Karen Peterson:
Day 4:
We get up have our breakfast and off to Stuttgart we go, we didn't
think reading a German map could be so difficult ??? the roads are
no better, you have no clue what direction you are going in and
it's just a mess , well we get to Stuttgart finally after some lunch
and rying to sort out the right direction, we get to the Town of
Stuttgart and stop at a petrol station to ask where the arena was,
first lady said to go this way and that, well we did that, then
we stop at another petrol station for more directions and well let's
just say this guy wasn't going to help us, so further up the road
we go and we see a Police (polizei) car so I get out to ask him
wich way to the Arena, he says in his very stern German voice "you
follow the elephant, you know the elepahnt"?? uhm excuse me
sir?? He then proceeds to tell me "you get in car I show you"
ok so I jump back in the car and the police man is shouting the
directions to us from his loudspeaker in the car, Now imagine this,
he is behind us giving us directions in German, luckily Shelly new
what he was saying, well he is telling us RICHT here now LINX, NOT
RIGHT LINX, all we could do was laugh at him and the situation it
was totally insane, people are looking at us very strangley.. (hmm
nothing new there huh?) so we all decide we have to get this on
the video, so out comes the video camera and we are taping this
german police officer shouting out german directions to us, it was
sooo funny, he then all of a sudden veres off and leaves us, ahhh
we see the venue, we get into the car park as shelly and mave were
going to drop me off so I can que up while they head back to hotel
to book us in. WELL, the Man in the car park was none to happy about
where and how we parked, he had a bit of a fit and was seriously
going to give himslef a stroke, Shelly was trying to explain to
him but he wouldn't have it.
well up to the venue where we see a few baddies queing already,
some we had met day before in oberhausen and some I had never met
yet, I recognised the faces and was finally going to meet the 2
most INSANE baddies ever YES you are right Tina and Caroline, oh
and their lil friend Spanky hahah so we al meet and chat away, I
was able to get to one of the front spaces at one of the doors ,
then slowly but surely more and more ppl came , then LOADS more
, we had been told the doors would open at diff times first was
5 then 6 then 7 well finally after freezing we were let in, we get
in and were told to run to the right to the stage then go down some
stairs well each entrance was closed off we eneded up running all
the way around to the other side of the arena, WHEW we finally made
it front row under Kmunkee man's mic. I was well pleased as he still
had not seen me or knew I was in Germany YET , all 3 of us managed
to get up front, ahh finally show time for Vega 4 , they are such
a GREAT band I really enjoyed the music. well their set was over
and my tummy had butterflies to no end just anticipating the guys
coming out on stage.
FINALLY here they come, Bryan scopes the front row as he comes out
and I think we got a bit of a smile there, and off with HIA , House
Arrest, 18, Can't Stop,Summer of 69, WOW what a set and still nto
quite sure Keith even notices I am standing right there, then Bryan
speaks to the crowd in German , and goes right into Back to You,
and introduces the band and finally one of my all time Faves, IT'S
ONLY MUNKEE LUV oops I mean It"s Only Love, I believe it was
either during this song or after that Keith was teasing caz and
tina bout their banners, and glanced at me and says OH YOUR BAD!!!!!!,
MOI BAD well HMMMM Ok hahah, oh and told me I was a munkee lover
HAHA Finally he had seen I was there and was either mortified or
I dunno what :)))) After all this Bryan is having a conversation
with Keith about his German, was quite funny altho I have NO CLUE
what they were saying !!!After all the chatting Bryan talks about
a song as he does for EID, and teases the crowd with a few chords
and says that's it, then finally he sings the full song , and this
night for some reason was the most amazing version I had ever heard,
Gary does his bit on Keyboard then Keith does this AMAZING solo
it was sooooooo beautiful, had found myself with tears in my eyes
this time and I Never cry at this song, I couldnt take my eyes off
Keiths Guitar was just WOW. Thanks for that Keith!!! Then onto Cut's
Like a knife, WOW the crowd went MAD for this song everyone was
singing so loud u could hardly Hear Bryan...
well onto next song it is time for WYG so once again I decided to
have some fun with Bryan and see his reaction, he imediatly looks
my way and YES I was jumping yelling BRYAN BRYAN, again he puts
his hand up and laughing saying I am looking at someone and he stood
there for what seemed like ages again, and finally he picked another
girl, well she did ok but not so well she didnt know the song and
wanted to sing a diff song that she did know with Bryan, well they
tried and to no avail Bryan stopped and told her to go see the guys
to get some t shirts, well bryan decided to choose another girl
and WOW he picked an amazing girl, she also happened to be in a
band herself and wow coudl she sing, was really good and she had
so much fun up there.
well after this song comes an acoustic version of I'm ready ,, was
veryu pretty , much like this version better, then onto Fits ya
good, my mouth literally fell open to hear this song live WOW it
was soooooooooo cool,then a really GREAT version of Heaven, was
upbeat and fun, surely to go along with DJ sammy's Version but Bryans
is MUCH better I think, but will always prefer original version
over the upbeat, Somebody,and TOTTLGOMIY were next.Tehn they all
come to the stage and Bow for the fans and off to Bstage they went....
we can't see them but we hear loud and clear :)))

then Back to the Main Stage here they come and they do Cloud # 9
and Run To You, and a BIG Thank you and a nice bow from all the
Guys then Again they do TBOM and Bryan came down to first row again
singing to the ppl in first row and letting them see him, touch
him etc was so nice to see that side of Bryan ahh the evening has
ended and WOW what can ya say. After the show we proceeded to the
Back and with no luck the guys had already gone so back to our Hotel
we go to get some much needed sleep.
