18/11/02 - HALLENSTADION, ZURICH

It was a Monday…….I usually hate Mondays…..not that
one though……yeah that's right….cause it was the Monday
of the BA gig in Zürich, to which I didn't have a ticket lol!!
The whole day in school I was busy thinking about the gig and how
I would be able to get a ticket. I didn't even know with who I was
gonna go…hehe…..now that's what you call good preparation
J Well….that's just how I am…..everything in the last
minute. I telephoned ticket corner to see if there were any returns
or if there would be any other possibility to get tickets…but
no chance. It was bloody well sold out!!!! Oookaaay…..I would
just have to go to the venue early and see if anybody was selling
their ticket. Before I did that…I met Martina…and she
told me that my old school mates Melanie and Steffi were gonna go
to the gig tonight……I was pretty surprised cos I didn't
think they would be interested in Bryan Adams. I quickly gave them
a ring and said I would go with them if they would have me, and
that I still would have to find a ticket. Well….at least I
had arranged something so far. After school…about 5pm…I
made my way to Oerlikon, where the Hallenstadion is and just wandered
around, keeping my eye's open for anybody who didn't want his ticket
anymore. DAMN I WAS LUCKY!!!!!! After about 15 minutes waiting around,
feeling like an idiot, I suddenly heard someone behind me ask someone
else….."Are you selling those tickets?" I turned
abruptly and stared....the woman selling hot dogs had asked the
young man in front of her. with two jumps I was next to him and
said :
" Did I hear that right…..you're selling these?…"
(me pointing at the tickets in his hand)
He: "Yep".
Me: "Well....how much are you selling it for?"…
He: "80 sFr."
Me: "But it was only 60 sFr. originally….."
He: "I know….but I bought mine for 80 sFr. each….
Me: (yeah right) "well ok….I'll take one anyway…."
I paid the money and he gave me the ticket……wow!!!!!!!
WHAT A FEELING!!!!!! I felt like jumping around.( I didn't though)
I heard the Hot Dog woman say that she would take the other one
then…..but that didn't matter to me anymore. I could hardly
believe….how quick I found a ticket. Yey!!!!!
Now all I had to do was wait for my mates to arrive….they said
they would come at 7pm….when the doors open. If it was for
me….I would have queued up all day…..but that's no fun
alone….so I decided to wait. I went up to the shopping centre
next to the station and had a bite to eat in a restaurant…..sat
there and did my homework for the next day. I'M SUCH A GOOD GIRL
AREN'T I!!! Just as I finished, I received a text message from steffi,
which is STILL saved in my cell phone *grin* ……saying
how cool she thought it was that I was gonna join them tonight and
that I should meet them at the station in 5minutes. That's just
what I did and together we walked down to the stadion. Apparently
there were three other people gonna come to meet us, so we had to
wait for them too before we could go in. AAARRGGHHH!!!!! They came….we
met (a couple and another boy, ……sorry, don't remember
your names)….and we started queuing AT LAST!!
We got in with no problems, and while I was pushing and telling
them to hurry….they were just taking their time. I was going
NUTS!! Just as we wanted to get in to the hall…..the security
people wanted to check our bags again……Okaaaayyy. He opened
my bag and looked through the things that were in it. Then he took
a little silver thing out and asked what it was……his eyes
all big….thinking it was something dangerous or something……….I
started laughing…..hehe……it was my mirror.
Finally we were inside and I headed straight for the front standing
section……I looked back and saw that the others were not
behind me anymore……JESUS!!! It was starting to piss me
off!!! Now what was the problem????? I went back to them and the
couple said that they don't wanna stand, and my mates didn't wanna
leave them alone….so we made a deal…….We would go
up and sit at the top to watch Vega 4….but for Bryan we would
go down then. So we went up to the top and sat down. Soon Vega 4
came on…..was a bit of a disappointment if you ask me…..didn't
think they were that great. They seem like nice boys though ;) At
the end the lead singer held up a sign that said : THANK YOU ZüRICH!!!
Oh well…..that was that. The lights went back on and I was
starting to get a little nervous now…….this tingling in
my stomach. The couple said that they wanted to stay up there….but
nothing was gonna keep me there…even if I would of have to
go alone in the end. But luckily….Steffi, Meli and this other
guy joined me and we went down together. The good thing about the
couple staying up there was….that we could leave our coats
and bags up there…..only my phone I took with me……
We made our way through the crowd and got quite near to the front
stage amazingly! I guess cos some people were sitting on the floor,
or were getting drinks and stuff….
I don't remember how long we waited anymore….but suddenly the
lights went low and the crowd was yelling….BRYAN BRYAN BRYAN!!!!
Me too of course hehe. Then everybody started screaming…….and
there he came……walking out with this sweet smile on his
face and started singing…..HERE I AM.

So the last time when we were here we were just three people……myself,
Keith Scott on the guitar and Mickey Curry on the drums…..but
tonight we have two new musicians :
First of all on the keyboards Mister Gary Bright!…..and on
the bass….Norm Fisher!
Everybody was cheering and clapping….
I thought you would like to meet them, 'cos they're performing for
you. its nice…really…you know, many times people think
Bryan plays the show…but you know the real reason for our show
being so fabulous every night is because of one great musician………
KEITH SCOTT!!!
7. ITS ONLY LOVE
We were here earlier today to do a soundcheck making
sure that we sounded good and I actually forget how many people
will gonna be fit in here……..just turn the lights on for
a quick second just to have a look here….

Yeah, this is a song I wanna do for you erm…..that
erm…. ( somebody is yelling something) Is what??
It's a song which took about an hour to write…and erm…turn
the lights off now, I'm getting nervous!
*giggles*
And erm….I can't really explain why these things happen…why
songs happen, but I'm gonna play it for you just like we wrote it….it's
a very simple song, and goes like this :

The woman started making her way through the crowd…..just

Everyone was looking rather confused…..as Bryan
sent the woman back and got the girl that he ment in the first place.
The woman he sent back looked rather disappointed……don't
blame her….who wouldn't be. The other girl must have been in
HEAVEN though!! The securities pushed her up on stage…..

Ok…tell me and everybody else what you do Kathrin! Are you
a singer? Nono…I study. Study what? Veterinary medicine. Medicine?
Yeah. Veterinary Medicine? Any chick or animal you're specialised
in? ???? What are you specialised in? Cows! Cows?!! And pigs….
* HUGE LAUGHTER*

The girl was great fun!!!……she was like
jumping and dancing all over the stage, running from each musician
to the other, giving them hugges and kisses….stood on Mickeys
drum podest, imitating playing drums……and Bryan was just
watching her with great amusement.
Can you believe what steroids can do???
Thank you Kathrin, that was really good! Who are
you here with? With that girl there? Yeah. So, only you two? Did
you bring your boyfriends with you? No, they had to stay at home!

If you go over and see the boys over here, they will give you some
T-shirts for you and your friends who have come to the show……Well….you
never know what you're gonna get…that's the thing…Keith?
We need some of those moves…you should be corporated for the
show!

This song I wanna do for you right now is one of
the first things I ever wrote, and like of other things you're doing
for the first time, you don't rally know what you're doing….I
don't wanna go any further…..this song….I wrote sometime
after dinner one night….and er…..I just bought a piano…..I
was teaching myself how to play….so I was kinda figuring out
an accord…..anyway…..what I'm really trying to say….is……that
songs are like postcards for me of my life and they bring back memories
of what I was doing…..who I was with…..what girl I was
dating….

They went off…..and I was thinking……could
it possibly be over???!!! No way….It couldn't be…..Steffi
and the other guy…whatever his name was…thought it was
over…and said they would go up to the others……but
me and Mel were no where near doing that yet…..hehe….thank
god we didn't!!!
Suddenly…..there was screaming again at the back of us…..all
the heads turned…..and there they were again….on this
little stage…in the middle of all the fans……the B-stage…..
This was new to me….since it was my first Bryan Adams concert
I attended. It definitely was fun!! Me and Mel made our way through
the people….pushing them aside and running towards the B-stage….we
got pretty near….but couldn't make it right to the front…..so
we couldn't get on the stage. There were lots of fans already on
it, dancing next to Bryan and the folks………I gave
up trying to get to the front and just danced like CRAZY!!! Two
guys in front of me looked back and were grinning at me like horses….hehe

After that they disappeared again…I was thinking……they
wouldn't just leave like that without saying good-bye…..I shouted
to Mel: Get over here…..I'm sure there heading back for the
main stage……I grabbed her hand, and we ran as fast as
we could through the crowd to the main stage……( we could
run….cos the place had thinned out a little…….the
people must of thought it was finished) We managed to get quite
near…..nearer than before anyway.

they went off. But Bryan came back, alone….with his acoustic
guitar……..
I never know what to say at the end of the night,
because…well look at you…what can I say but "thank
you"? And so, tonight when I go back to my hotel room, I try
to remember what I did tonight…..and I think about you folks….my
ears are ringing….and its like feeling of haze……….of
heads in my mind…..well…..the song that I do for you right
now is a song which erm….articulates how I feel…right
this very second……..
23. THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL
I got a lot of good memories playing here at the
Hallenstadion and I really wanna thank you once again for being
such an audience!! Until next time….take care of yourselves…...
THAT WAS IT……..at 11pm……an amazing
night was over! The lights went on and we made our way back to the
others……the couple had left by that time already…cos
they wanted to catch the train…..NUTCASES!! They don't know
what they missed!!! We grabbed our things and went to the exit.
I was like in a trance……I was doing everything automatically…..
I thought of going round to the backstage gate….but I was really
tired and I bet the others wouldn't of come with me……next
time I will though!!!
That night was definitely a NIGHT TO REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
