18/06/03 - ATLANTIC PAVILION, LISBON

Review by Tania Almeida:
You already know that BA is the best on stage. And he confirmed that on the last 18th June, in Pavilhão Atlântico, here in Lisbon. We were really excited to have him here once again this year, even though he had visited us in February. That was definatly 'a night to remember'!!!

So let me go back in time and tell you how good it was. The first part of the show, wich begun at 21.30h, was performed by a portuguese band named 'Santos & Pecadores' (something like Saints Sinners) They finished their performance at 22h, but BA only arrived at 22.30h...but the waiting was really worth it!!!Bryan came with all is power and started with 'Here I am'.

That was just the beggining to the most memorable night I've ever lived. After that song he said he was very happy to be in Portugal again, wich happens to be a very special place because he lived here, in a place named Cascais. He said he was ready to play has much musics has he could, and it really happened!!!Well...the setlist you already know...he sang all the musics we like: 'It's only love', 'Cut's like a knife', 'Summer of 69', 'Everything I do', 'Please forgive me', 'Have you ever really loved a woman' and many more. One of the most sweet parts of the show was when he called a girl from the crowd (she was Maria João from Montijo) to sing with him 'When you're gone'(I wonder....why didn't he call me??)

But I would like to tell you the best part of the show. After more than one our in stage, he started saing goodbye and got of the stage. Off course no one left the building, and everybody started screaming his name!!Then, ligths started to be pointed in the midle of the crowd...no one was understanding what was happening, because it was really dark...but then, suddently, Bryan jumped to a stage...right in the midle of the fans!!!wow....is was really amazing. Then he performed a few song's...not BA songs....some Elvis stuff. Quite good anyway!

Then he went back again to the major stage and sang 'Cloud number 9', 'Best of me'(with this song he really passed out and jumped right in front of the stage to hug is fans....it was really cute from him)and he ended up alone in stage, with a golden key - 'Straight from the heart' - unplugged!!! Well....I could spend all night long telling you how was it, and how I enjoyed it...but there aren't enough to explain it! So, I think this is all. I want to send a big hug to BA...love ya, and really hope to see him again, as soon as possible!!! Kisses to all BA fans all over the world!

Review by Sandra:
Amazing concert but similar to the one in February (same venue). Bryan was in a very good mood and thanked us for being the best place in Europe to play (yeah!!). The concert lasted a bit over 2 hours, the biggest surprise was Rock Steady which is great live. Straight From The Heart in the end was amazing and it seemed that Bryan didn’t want to leave us….
In the end Bryan signed autographs in the car for quite a long time since there were many fans waiting and he was very nice even though it was around 3 a.m.
