28/10/04 - NOTTINGHAM ARENA

Review by Steven Stanley
Me and Stevie set off for Nottingham early on in the morning (9am ish) from Sheffield and arrived there about an hour later... we were only about 10 people back in the queue so it wasn't bad. There we met Chris, Lizy (pink eared bunny girl!) and my friend Karl Austin. We went around town for a bit and had a laugh with everyone but I'm not saying what we got up to incase Nottinghamshire police read this page! I was slightly gutted at something that happened though... I dropped my camera in the morning and when I turned it on at the venue the view was all distorted and it no longer worked. So no more good videos or pictures using my camera from the tour. Fortunately Stevie had a camera with him that took some good pictures that I could use anyway!

The doors were opened a good 50 minutes later than planned and eventually opened up around 7.20pm when they should have opened at 6.30pm. We heard all the queues in the lobby had already gone in so we prayed that none of them were standing or some heads would roll! Thankfully when the doors opened we were the first ones onto the floor which was nice... a little more organisation wouldn't have gone a miss though!

The audience was very good at Nottingham and the Arena was actually bigger than I thought it was going to be. All the songs sounded great again and during 'Not Romeo Not Juliet' he pulled out the 'Room Service' guitar for the first time ever during a show. I thought it would be a one off because both Keith and Bryan had been having monster guitar problems all night... but BA decided to use it for the rest of the tour in any case for that song.

We didn't meet anyone after the show and soon enough we were all off down the M1 to Wembley...!
