29/10/04 - WEMBLEY ARENA, LONDON

Review by Steven Stanley
me and Stevie arrived at Wembley somewhere around 3am from Nottingham and started queuing straight away outside the doors. When it got light a security guard banged on my window and woke me up saying I couldn't park here to which I said "ok" and that their were camera's. I just said "so!" and wound up the window! Anyway we were eventually moved to the correct door on the blue side (we were on the blue side both nights) and I setoff for Heathrow to oick Andrea up as she was just landing from America. Her plane was about an hour late but we got there at just about the right time after a nightmare drive through the traffic. When we got her it was straight back to the queue at Wembley!

When we got there I gave Adrian a present I got him from America...a Gibson shirt... Stevie had one as well that Andrea got him, then me and her were in Fender tops all ready for the 'Gibson or a Fender' line in 'Room Service'! The day went fairly quick and we had a look at the new Wembley Stadium that was being built next door... it's huge! We also had a walk to McDonalds to grab a breakfast as well!

Upon door opening time our door was messed up by the useless security and the red door was unfairly let in first (even though we had been here hours and hours before them)... we did manage to get front row though. Speedway were good again, and just before Bryan came onstage guess what celeb we saw in the crowd..... Cilla Black lol! Bet she had a lorra lorra laughs :)

Bryan and the boys came onstage anyway... once again 'Room Service' sounding fantastic. Pretty standard setlist first off... but then came the encores. Bryan came onstage again with his sunburst strat instead of the usual black strat for 'Cloud #9' and I thought 'aye aye something happening here!'. He then played the song what everyone was waiting for... 'Friday Night In London'. It was really good but Bryan forgot most of the words when the song got going which was funny... still good though. He also forgot words during 'Back To You' and maybe another song I think... he said earlier on in the show he was nervous about playing here... maybe that was it. A couple of extra songs were drafted into the encore tonight (from 'Reckless') so we got a slightly longer show. Bryan went off to a big cheer anyway and it was probably the best show of the tour so far.

After the gig myself, Andrea and Stevie didn't stick around to meet Bryan and we went to get some food instead in the form of a curry! We came around to the front of the arena and sat down infront of the 'Room Service' posters and ate it. It was some gooooooood shit hehe. Washed down of course with Mountain Dew :) We then went to Helen's hotel and crashed there until queuing the next day...
