28/01/05 - PALACIO VISTALEGRE,
MADRID Review
by Roberto Becares - TRANSLATED: 8,000 fans reunited in Madrid's Palace Vistalegre MADRID.
- It's hard to say it, but it is this. The Canadian artist, the eternal adolescent
rocker, who likes to drink soybean milk on tour and not to smell tobacco within
3 metres of him, initiates the inevitable slope downwards. To
be accurate, he already began it a long time ago, but he continues himself allowing
appointments like the one of last night, intermittent moments of vibrant ecstasy,
where the present he occupies in addition the past and the future. The fans always
come back for a revival though pouring euros into the venues. Bryan has the type
of fans that never disappear, that will not change in the formula of space and
time, types that always seem to be returning when in truth never they went. It
has taken Bryan 6 years to produce a new album. In return he operated his phenomenon
in concerts and promotions around the world, something he started doing 25 years
ago already, with his self titled album 'Bryan Adams' (1980). The
sales of his latest album, 'Room Service' demonstrated that the hen every time
puts less gold eggs in. With his black t-shirt of always and jeans, it made the
artist 30 minutes late to the scene of a frozen Palace of Vistalegre, that cleared
in some occasions the zero degrees, but was being heated as it was observed ídolo
battling guitar in hand like long ago. It is inevitable
to say that for a long time that has passed its songs they never expire, that
some will continue being anthems for years and years and will continue shaking
to the masses since it made yesterday with 'Summer of '69' or 'Can´t Stop
This Thing We Started', with which cleared their better moments halfway through
the performance.
It
has the vegetarian singer all the taken times. He knows when to talk just a little
bit of the local language, in what songs to even recreate and the moment for putting
the memory anecdotal, getting someone up from the Madrid crowd to sing in 'When
You're Gone'. The beginnings were cold. Songs of his latest work as 'Room Service'
or 'Open Road' woke up to near 8,000 electrical thirsty spectators who perhaps
occurred to appointment paying excessive amounts at this point of League and of
agreed whose side to be shaken. There were those hits
and many, beginning by '18 Til I Die', 'Run To You' and 'Cuts Like A Knife' Subjects
as 'Everything I Do...' or ' Lets make to night to remember' hissed a little before
so many desire to rock. And even so, Bryan Adams cleared a suitable performance
that ended with several acoustic numbers and from that the fans realised how great
the songs were and went home happy. It seems that the rock of the Canadian follows
suspended. Better thus, perhaps, to return to him when arrive nostalgia. Almost
the two hours of concert left it clear that the formula of melodic rock of BA
was worn away. He was inevitable and amazing. 60 million sold discs around the
world give credit to him. Setlist: Room Service Open
