12/10/05 - CONTINENTAL ARENA, EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ

Review by Teresa Bodziony:
What a dreary day, pouring rain all day, but that would never stop us from seeing Bryan and the guys! Got there early and to our surprise, no one was there yet. But shortly after, cars started rolling in. So we went in and met up with fellow baddies Diane with her daughter and Angelina with her sister. So sorry to have missed you Jen. After catching up we got settled in our seats which were in 6th row. During opening act we were observing the first and second rows, which had plenty of empty seats. So my sis, fellow baddie Alicja, and our friend Margaret were planning on how we will try to head on up there. After the opening act finished, we headed up, nonchalantly to the second row. A few minutes later Diane and Ang joined us, yeah!!! So the lights go out and we make a move for the front row, which had 4 seats empty. The security tried to stop me with his knee while he was sitting, but I just kept going and he did not stop me. Margaret said that after that he just let her and Alicja in. So we end up at our favorite spot after all, between Bryan and Keith. Ang and Diane ended up standing behind us and then some other people got up. However, the crowd was stiff and most were sitting (that is why we desperately need a solo gig Bryan, you hear that?! ) Bryan didn’t let that get to him. He continued playing with a smile and with his magic, worked the crowd into having a blast. Security was tight, kicking the folks behind us out into their own seats. Bryan as usual made a comment telling them to chill and relax.

Bryan played the usual set list that he played during the summer gigs. He did however include Hearts on Fire (Alicja gets brownie points here for knowing ALL the words, which Bryan showed his appreciation). What a disappointment to no encore. I hope he doesn’t plan this for the rest of the shows.
Thanks for all that you do Bryan, Keith, Mickey, Norm and Gary. Even though it was short, it was definitely SWEET.

This morning I heard a call come in to one of the radio stations, and the girl was commenting on a few concerts she went to past couple of weeks. She said to last night’s gig, “Bryan blew away Def Leppard”…you better believe it!!!

At long last... BA brings the Gretsch's back onstage for this leg of the USA tour for the first time since the 'Plugged In Tour' of Canada in early '98. The honey coloured one was used for 'Hearts On Fire' and the green one was used for '69!
