07/05/06 - FILLMORE AUDITORIUM, DENVER, CO

Review by Soozie Laubach:
My girlfriend couldn't believe the line when we finally got to the arena. Denver has this annual Cinco De Mayo party and main streets were blocked off took us forever to get around everything and get to the place! We got there about 15 minutes before the door opened. Hid the camera in my cleavage, they felt the girl in front of me and didn't feel me up LOL ;) Big cleavage helped in this case! Got inside and got a wrist band so we could buy beer. I made a beeline for the front which was almost all full but to the left. So we went there. And proceeded the 1 1/2 hour wait for the gig to start. I ran for beers :) 8:30 comes and the boys all rolled out, no opening act! ;) was very cool to just have them to ourselves so to speak. Opened with SFSG,then went into Somebody, This Time and Lonely Nights. He stopped to talk about the next song Open Roads from the Room Service Album and said that the entire album was recorded in hotel rooms. I'm at the barrier nodding my head and he looks at me and goes "You didn't know that did you?" And I'm like nodding more emphatically and saying Yup I did!! :) I think the girl next to me about had a heart attack. From there it went on to 18 til I die, which got the entire crowd really rocking. From there on out the crowd sang along for all the songs... before they were coming and going (not me of course I was singing them all! hence no voice today). Let's Make a night to remember was great. Occasionally (and you'll see by the pictures) they were pushing the foggy smokey stuff out. Can't stop this thing we started was next and then he talked about the next song coming from the Unplugged Album I got all excited it was Back to you (a personal favorite!)

Summer of 69 he did the "And that's the whole story" at the end like he did in Memphis! Everyone screamed like crazy!!

I had to go to the bathroom.... but I didn't I didn't wanna miss anything LOL

Good thing, next song was EIDIDFY, we had lighters out and singing though he would pause the crowd would sing and then he'd sing it. ;) was extremely cool to see him do it live!

At one point and I forget when, He walked behind Keith pulled his guitar cord out, it was at the end of a song but he was extremely amused by it himself LOL :)

Cuts Like a Knife, he talked about about it being a song he wrote so long ago that he almost forgets about it sometimes. And then....

WYG, he told everyone (and you'd be surprised not ONE person around me knew this) about he was gonna bring someone up and he sang the chorus, He picked a very pretty girl to come up. She was from Bombay India, which he thought was pretty funny (I guess since he'd been out that way) He asked her name and she goes "Janice" and he goes, "OK but thats not your Indian name, whats your Indian name" and she goes "Jancie that's it" She moved to Denver with her husband (who has an Indian name) and Bryan told her he'd get it out of him later. She knew all the words and was very excited to be up there with him. so I'm glad he picked her and not someone who had no clue! :) He gave her and her husband some tshirts for her being such a good sport!

And now... SOHWSD, this was hysterical and I'm so glad he sang this. Towards the end Keith (Not Kevin! LOL) started doing this dance number, it was HYSTERCIAL and I was laughing so hard I couldn't get the camera up. But he was jumping around and up and looked like he was gonna flop down into a split (which would have REALLY made it!) He went on and on for quite a while, Bryan was even laughing about it. When the song was finally over he said "Can we hear it for the dancers" and pointed to Keith. And the crowd went wild. He looked at keith and said "didn't know you were gonna do the blue brothers dance but ya know it's gonna have to be part of the set from now on so you can forget the gym" I so wish I had gotten that on AVI ;)

He went on with Hearts on Fire, I'm ready and Heaven. Ended the main set with It's only love (With Keith providing the Tina Turner action) and finally The Only thing that looks good on me is you....

They did they're group bow (seemed to be having a tough time coordinating it this night which was amusing to watch).

I started a Bryan Bryan Bryan etc chant, got the crowd going and all the boys came back! ;) (of course doh!) LOL

Cloud #9, which is funny, not many people really know that song, except Baddies for some reason. Run to you and Straight from the heart...

The boys left and Bryan finished up acoustic with Straight from the heart and All for Love (which I THINK I got the entire song on AVI gotta figure out how to post it)

I was exhausted by this time! But... we exited the building and went around back where the tour bus was, only a handful of us were back there. But Bryan (and I think Keith) loaded into a van and exited, not stopping to talk or sign autographs.... he waved as he went by but by this time the batteries were totally shot on my camera so I didn't get that one! So no picture of me kissing Bryan (pouts) so I guess I'm just gonna HAVE to go to another one and another and another one until I get it.

Home! I slept like a baby and had some extremely interesting dreams of Bryan but hey, that's another story for another website ::wink::

I WANT TO GO TO VEGAS DAMMIT!! :)
