26/10/06 - AUDITORIO COCA-COLA, MONTERREY

Review by Alejandro Carmona:
The wait was over, Bryan finally was going to play in Monterrey for the first time, the place was full (more than 7,000), the concert was scheduled to start at 9:00 pm but it started at 10:10 pm (mostly because a lot of people were stucked on the traffic) with the chords from Room Service, the fans received very well this song, and it was started a concert for the ages here in Monterrey.

Talent, energy and great music are the words that could define this concert. After Room Service not much time was needed for the audience to began to feel emotions, because with "Somebody" everybody stand up and started to sing. Although the public already was given to Bryan Adams, there was still a lot to live. Then came "Open Road" and "18 till i die" before his greeting, that would let see the charismatic interpreter, i think that Bryan was right to practice his little spanish cause all the people exploded in joy at each word hahaha. It was pleasent to realize that all the people knew the words of almost all the songs, but more pleasent to me was hear the Half Acoustic-Half Complete Band "Think About You" This is one of my favorite Bryan Adams ballads and this version was a lot better than the original (im really not considering the strange Unplugged version).

I also loved "Hearts on Fire", "Low Life" (this specially because it seems that i was the only one singing out loud this song with Bryan, so it was just Bryan and me hahaha), "Heaven", "Its only love" , "Back to you", "Have you ever really loved a woman" ... and well, i loved every song that they played. The WYGG girl was Lydia from Monterrey, Bryan repeated like three times that she worked for a Beer company so the audience just scream and clap hahaha, when she was heading up to the scenario the band played a bit of "If ya wanna be bad Ya gotta be good" with the "grrrrrrrr" from Bryan (I wanted that song to be completed!!).

The most emotive moment of the night was just in the middle of Heaven, someting incredible and unexpectable happen, Keith was on his solo (with great feeling) and on the most beautifull part of the song, all calm and with all the emotions on the air, then suddenly a fireworks rain flooded the sky!!! (that was part of another event on the same neighborhood), just like that, the moment was perfect, Keith was the first in realize that this was happening (i was 1 meter in front of him) his eyes were illuminated, he just stared at the fireworks making some funny faces (you know Keith hahaha), then Bryan realize of this, he just stared at the fireworks really touched (his face was really emotive at that moment). This was simply incredible, i have no words to describe their faces.

Like the last months Bryan finish the concert just with his guitar but ironically it was the moment at which there was no possible to be felt single, because more than seven thousand implacable throats helped him to give life to each song. There was no "When you love someone" but instead we had an acoustic "Have you ever really loved a women" where Bryan invited just Keith to play the spanish guitar, he came out with Converse tennis instead of the black shoes haha, this was improvised i think cause at the middle of the song Bryan stopped Keith putting his hand on his guitar (the face of keith when that happen was really funny, like "What happen!? i was really happy playing that part!!") when the audience was singing really loud.

Without a doubt this has been the best concert i seen. Bryan said "i dont know why we take so long to came here but im really happy and i loved to play here, thank you" and disappear waiving good bye. The only song he left me waiting for (from the previews concerts this year) was "The best of me", its really sad that he drop that song for this tour.
