04/10/07 - GIBSON AMPHITHEATRE, CITYWALK, UNIVERSAL CITY, LOS ANGELES, CA

The tour hits LA... at the 'Gibson Ampitheatre' - formerly known as the 'Universal Amphitheatre', which BA last played in January '02 to a sell out crowd. This time he's back with a double-header show with George Thorogood and cranks out a 90 minute set full of the hits to the LA crowd.

Review by Kunoeil:
"London to L.A." indeed, as my first two BA gigs took place last may in Wembley and I was heading to Los Angeles, since destiny put Bryan near my new temporary location (San Diego).

I got to confess, I had never heard of George Thorogood before and I was surprised by the fact that some members of the audience were here for him more than for Bryan. The fact is, George Thorogood and the Destroyers were more than a supporting act, playing for about 1 hour 15 even teasing the BA fans by refering to us as "more sophisticated rock fans"!

Anyway, great show by the band, I 'm not very good at reviewing 'cause I truly live the shows I attend and I'm unable to write a real critic. Few things I noticed : the show was far from sold out, "One night love affair" as the opener (great), and no "Please forgive me" :( I used "The only thing..." to put on my signature move (The Praise, which got Bryan's guitar in my hands at Wembley!) and I think only Gary noticed me this time (I was in the seated area).

And for those who may ask, I got a night bus back to SD so, no new chapter on my book of "Being homeless, injured, out of money and wander by night in a huge foreign city thanks to Bryan Adams concerts" for this time.
