01/11/08 - METRO RADIO ARENA, NEWCASTLE

Review by Steven Stanley:
A great show and the band seemed really up for it. This afterall was Newcastle - a fantastic fun city where everybody just wants to have a great time. I'd seen BA here twice before - at this Arena and at the football stadium and both shows had great atmosphere so I knew this would be great. I travelled up from Sheffield (after coming back down from York) with Big T and we met Nat, Mave and Mel when we got in town. Once inside Mel and Mave went for the main stage, while myself Nat and Big T hung around the back and got some b-stage action.

The Arena went wild when the lights went down, and when Bryan started singing the sound delay seemed even worse the it normally does for a b-stage - I honestly don't know how he managed to keep singing without messing up. Talented guy. When the show started we had the cameras on all 3 of us for the vast majority of the b-stage section.

We were just making really silly faces and enjoy highly inappropriate arm swaying... Big T on the other hand introduced his pet RUBBER DUCK to 10,000 people as the entire Metro Radio Arena just looked on bemused!!...

Unfortunately 'The Way Of The World' was dropped for 'One Night Love Affair'... maybe because he wanted to keep the tempo up with a song everyone knew - who knows. 'C'mon Everybody' at the end was great, it was a great party atmosphere. Then he brought the acoustic out. At the end of the show during 'All For Love', Bryan got everyone to hold their mobile phones up - it looked amazing. Another great night out in Newcastle.
