0703/09 - CANADIAN GROCERY GALA, METRO CONVENTION CENTRE, TORONTO, ON

Bryan does a charity gig, and since the band hadn't played together in 4 months it was a good warm up for the Canadian tour.

Review by Richard (HoundsTV.com):
Sometimes the best concerts are the ones you don't really hear about (the stuff that Pollstar doesn't list)

That was true at this years Canadian Grocery Gala at Toronto's Metro Convention Centre when Bryan Adams warmed up for his coming week long tour across Ontario by performing to a room full of a couple thousand charity gala folks.

But it was the ladies at the front tables who got the concert experience of a lifetime when they ended up on the stage with Bryan for an encore that featured Adams doing a crazy version of KC & the Sunshine Band's 'Get Down Tonight'.

Up to the end of the show, the security had done a great job of keeping most people in their seats. But once Adams started with the encore there was no holding the well dressed gala crowd back and before long, 100 or so very pretty ladies are on the stage gettin'down with Bryan. And the true rock star seasoned performer Adams is - he was loving every second of it - and even invited more people on the stage to join the party.

Past performers at the Grocery Gala - which raises thousands for Crohn's and Colitis Foundation - have included Burton Cummings, Michael Buble, and last year, Nelly Furtado. But the fine grocery folk later admitted they had never witnessed a show ending like they got from Adams tonight.

While it's doubtful you'll get on stage with Bryan (but then again, who ever knows?) You got some good chances to see Bryan live around southern Ontario as he does a mini-tour for the next 7 straight nights.
