More '11' news - along with the release of the album, a DVD is coming out featuring Bryan playing all the tracks off the album live. Discs like these are sometimes packaged with the album as a bonus disc or limited edition. Only time will tell how and when this will be available. The UK version of the CD will have a 12th bonus track called 'Way Of The World'. The tracks written with Jim Vallance are 'Tonight We Have The Stars', 'Flower Grown Wild' and 'Walk On By'. The UK tracklist now looks like this:

Tonight We Have The Stars
I Thought I'd Seen Everything
I Ain't Losing The Fight
Oxygen
We Found What We Were Looking For
Broken Wings
Something To Believe In
Mysterious Ways
She's Got A Way
Flower Grown Wild
Walk On By
Way Of The World

'BA songs wins a Grammy!' - yep thats right, 'Never Gonna Break My Faith' won a Grammy (on 10/02/08) for 'Best Gospel Performance'! The track penned by BA & Eliot Kennedy and performed by Aretha Franklin and Mary J Blige was written for the film 'Bobby'.

'11' album to have bonus tracks - as well as the now confirmed tracklist we posted (below), the official site has confirmed there will be an extra bonus track on the UK version of the disc (thus giving the new CD 12 tracks), plus more extra bonus tracks on iTunes.

'11' tracklist order change - play.com and amazon have now amended their listing of '11' and put the songs in a new order. The tracklisting is now as follows:

Tonight We Have The Stars
I Thought I'd Seen Everything
I Ain't Losing The Fight
Oxygen
We Found What We Were Looking For
Broken Wings
Something To Believe In
Mysterious Ways
She's Got A Way
Flower Grown Wild
Walk On By

Confirmed '11' tracklist? - the following tracklist has started to appear on a couple of internet mail order sites. Make of it what you will... if this does turn out to be the final tracklist... at least we guessed a couple of them right! Apparently Bryan plays guitar on all tracks along with bass. Jim Vallance & Pat Steward return to guest on drums and of course Mickey Curry. Colin Cripps also guests on guitar alongside Keith Scott. (Cheers to Stefano)

The new '11' sleeve - (as mentioned on 15/01) from today (22/01) it's now almost certain that this will be the new sleeve for Bryan's 11th studio album - '11'. It's a self portrait of himself with his gold Gibson taken last year and used on the sleeve of his '07/08 tourbook so many of you will be familiar with it already. The artwork and graphic design is by Dirk Rudolph - creator of so many great sleeves for BA in the past. Click here for a full size picture of the sleeve.

Also, as many of you will have seen in the tourdates section, BA has announced his first UK gig of 2008 at Newmarket Racecourse on June 20th. Tickets are onsale now through the direct link provided on the tourdates page or ticketmaster.co.uk

Another visit to the '11' rumour mill - a Mexican website reports details of a big European promo tour of '11 cities in 11 days' during March for the new album, believe this if you desire - / 7th Lisbon / 8th Barcelona / 9th Milan / 10th Hamburg / 11th London / 12th Paris / 13th Amsterdam / 14th Brussels / 15th Zurich / 16th Vienna / 17th Copenhagen /

Also, the sleeve to the left was used by the website. Could just be a temporary promo sleeve, could be the finished article - who knows!

New album tracks? - While doing research for the new single on ascap.com, we noticed other new songs we hadn't seen before. To the casual fan you may see 40 plus songs you have never heard of. So as it's online for everyone to see anyway, we thought we'd try and narrow down an album tracklist. We weren't going to, but as forums have started noticing this tonight - why not. Many of the songs on there are really old songs written with Jim for example for the 'Lost' album (pre 'Waking') or just songs written for other people ('Keep Talkin' for Lulu) - and songs done by BA and just never used ('Cry', 'Invincible', etc).

However - some are new and unaccounted for, and when you have collaborations with Eliot and Mutt on the same song - it's a very good chance thats new material - especially when it's listed as BA singing the song (as all these are). Once again, it's not the final tracklist it's just us guessing, none of this is confirmed & none of these songs could end up on the CD. Apparently the finished article will have one or two tracks more anyway. Just make of it what you will...

Back Slider (written with Gretchen Peters)
Fuel (written with Eliot Kennedy)
Heartbeat Away (written with Eliot Kennedy)
I Thought I'd Seen Everything (written with Eliot Kennedy and Mutt Lange)
Miss America (written with Eliot Kennedy)
Oxygen (written with Eliot Kennedy and Mutt Lange)
Ride Of Your Life (written with Mutt Lange)
Something To Believe In (written with Eliot Kennedy)
Two Brothers (written with Eliot Kennedy)
Wise Guys (written with Jim Vallance)

'I Thought I'd Seen Everything' - will be the new single from the upcoming album '11' to hit radio airwaves on January 28th. It was co-written with Mutt Lange and Eliot Kennedy. A physical copy will be released in Germany on 01/03/08 but it's not known whether other countries will follow suit. Go to the official site to see the artwork in more detail. Pre-order the new BA album '11' - slated for release on 23/03/08 according to Bryan himself just a few weeks ago, the well known UK website play.com has become the first place to list the new album. Whether a listing like this is confirmation the album is definately called '11' remains to be seen, but it looks a strong possibility. Slated for an earlier UK release on Monday March 3rd 2008 you can now pre-order it for £9.99 by clicking here go> Either the release date has been brought forward, or the UK gets it 3 weeks before the general international market (although release dates are sometimes spaced for promo reasons). All signs look good that we can indeed look forward to an album in the spring.

Jim Vallance recives 'Order Of Canada' - Jim Vallance, songwriter with BA to so many of his best hits has been deservedly given the 'Order Of Canada' award this week for his outstanding contribution to Canadian music. Apart from Adams, he written with Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne and Alice Cooper. BA has previously been honoured with this award some years ago - but it's about time Jim got it too. Well done Jim, couldnt have gone to a nicer man.

BA's 'Portfolio' Exhibition comes to Yorkshire - Visitors to a historic house in North Yorkshire this spring will be among the first to see a stunning collection of photographs entitled Portfolio, by musician and photographer Bryan Adams. In the first showing of the exhibition in the UK, the Adams photographs will go on show at Nunnington Hall near Helmsley in May. With his recently released Anthology of music written in the last twenty five years, Adams divides his time between music and photography. His photographs have been seen recently in both British Vogue and i-D. This recent portfolio of his work was released by Stern Magazine in Germany.

The thirty works that make up Portfolio, and going on show at Nunnington, reflect the scope of Bryan’s work from the formal, to more candid moments captured by his lens. The breadth of people he has photographed is a testament to the esteem that Bryan is held in as photographer. Models to actresses, musicians to royalty - all have all been the focus of his attention. Mickey Rourke, Ray Charles, Jill Hennessey, Helena Bonham-Carter, Keith Richards and Pink feature alongside Tony Blair, The Pope, Barbara Cartland and The Queen.

Nunnington Hall’s Property Manager Simon Lee says, “I am really delighted that Bryan will be exhibiting with us this year. Portfolio is such a stunning body of work. I am confident our visitors are going to really enjoy the opportunity of seeing Bryan’s photos, and it’s great that they can be seen here in the north. The show has previously been in Rome and Slovenia and after us will go on to Budapest. We are really look forward to giving people the opportunity to see some of his work this spring.” The exhibition opens on Tuesday 1st May and will run until Sunday 10th June, coinciding with Bryan’s UK tour. Bryan will be playing in a number of cities across the UK in May. Venues in the north include Manchester MEN Arena on May 8th and Sheffield Arena on May 12th. For further details on the exhibition telephone Nunnington Hall (01439) 748283.
