Stay tuned we will keep you posted if anything happens.

For the possible acoustic CD, BA is thinking of putting out an acoustic version of 'Drive' and also 'The Way You Make Me Feel'....once again nothing is confirmed.

Delhi show saved at last minute!!! - There is some good news for the die-hard fans of pop singer Bryan Adams in the Capital. His much-publicised show will now be held as per schedule on February 7 but at a new venue -- the warm-up area of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in South Delhi. The show has been given all the necessary clearances. Earlier, the concert was to be held at Mittal Gardens on Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road in South Delhi. However, the police and the other agencies had objected to the show as the venue lacked proper parking space and the organisers had also not got clearance from relevant agencies like the fire and the entertainment departments. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Vivek Gogia, said the organisers were given the clearances after they agreed to make the necessary arrangements at the new venue. "We have asked the organisers to ensure proper barricading, channelisation and crowd control measures," the DCP said, adding that the police would take care of other necessary arrangements. In a statement issued to the press, the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of DNA Networks Private Limited, Venkat Vardhan, said: "In view of the overwhelming response from the die-hard fans of Bryan Adams in Delhi it has been decided to change the venue." He added that the decision has been taken in consultation with the relevant authorities. DNA Networks are the main organisers of the event. According to the organisers, the same tickets would be valid at the new venue. source: the hindu

Sri Lanka gears up for Bryan Adams bash - Sri Lankan authorities announced tight security for Canadian pop icon Bryan Adams who is stopping over here for a concert in support of the island's peace drive. Police will deploy 400 constables in addition to dozens of private security officers at the venue next Tuesday for the 90-minute concert expected to be attended by a crowd of over 15,000, organisers said. Indian promoters of the event -- Showdiff and Rapport -- said the Canadian star was expected here shortly after his tour of India which begins in New Delhi Thursday. Immediately after the concert here he flies to Dubai. Trade Minister Ravi Karunanayake said the government was supportive of the private sector initiative to organise the concert, which was attracting fans from Singapore, Bangladesh and the Maldives. "We want to promote this kind of event to tell the world that Sri Lanka is a country on the go," Karunanayake said. "This is good for us to promote tourism as well as investments." Adams is expected to travel with eight tonnes of equipment and will bring his own band with him, the organisers said. "We are getting excellent cooperation from the police here and they will deploy 400 men at the concert venue," Showdiff spokesman Jaiveer Panwar said. He said since a truce between government forces and Tamil Tiger rebels in February 2002 has opened entertainment opportunities in the South Asian island, one of the top tourist destinations in the region. Adams, known for his songs such as "Everything I do, I do it for you", will be accompanied by a 30-member entourage. source: columboAFP

Delhi's date with Bryan Adams in doubt - The much-hyped live concert of Canadian rocker Bryan Adams, scheduled here next month, might fall through with the Delhi Police refusing to grant permission for staging the event. A police spokesman Friday said permission had not been granted for organising the show February 7 as the proposed venue lacked adequate infrastructure. The show was scheduled at Mittal Gardens, a sprawling country villa in south Delhi. "The show will not be permitted to take place at the publicised venue due to lack of infrastructure and space," the spokesman said. Apart from obtaining licences from the district and traffic police, the organisers also need to get a go ahead from various other agencies including, the fire department and entertainment tax authorities. source: newkerala.com

Australian Idol records a new BA song (yes BA gave another away!) - Shannon Noll -winner of Australian Idol- gave a sneak preview of some of the songs for his debut album "That's what I'm talking about", including a track written by Bryan Adams. The song, called "Drive", is expected to be one of Noll's key singles after he releases his debut CD through BMG next month. It is likely to be the follow-on track from his single "What About Me", the song that won him a legion of fans during the Australian Idol contest. "There's one song called Drive and I was listening to the demo going, 'I know that bloke's voice'. Turned out to be Bryan Adams. He and another bloke wrote it," Noll said. "It's a real rocky song, the right musical style. I was going 'Wow, I can't believe that'." source > intothefire.nl/smh.com/au

Bryan Adams to sing for peace in Sri Lanka - Canadian pop icon Bryan Adams is to stop over in Sri Lanka next month to give a concert in support of the island's peace drive during a world tour, organizers said. The Bryan Adams Concert for peace will be held in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo on February 10 and the Indian promoters of the event -- Showdiff and Rapport -- said they expected 15,000 to 20,000 fans to turn up. "He is excited about coming to Sri Lanka during his world tour that will take him to Dubai and India," Showdiff spokesman Jaiveer Panwar said. "It is possible to arrange for him to come here because of the improved situation." Panwar said a truce between government forces and Tamil Tiger rebels in February 2002 has opened up entertainment opportunities in the South Asian island which is one of the top tourist destinations in the region. Adams, known for songs such as "Everything I do, I do it for you," will arrive with his 30-member entourage and perform for about two hours, the organizers said. source:abs-cbn news > thanks to Lucy

Michael Kamen dies

Bryan's long time friend and song writing partner Michael Kamen died recently aged 55 from a sudden heart attack at his home in London. This man helped make great songs like 'Everything I Do', 'Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?' and 'I'll Always Be Right There' come alive. He even took part in the 'MTV Unplugged' performance and more recently at last years Diane Fossey Gorilla concert just last year. Apart from Bryan he has worked with other great artists including Aerosmith and Metallica. He won a Grammy in 1996 for his work on musical drama 'Mr Holland's Opus'. Despite that he was also nominated for 2 more in previous years...both Bryan collaborations. Throughout his career he also worked on film scores from 'Robin Hood' through to 'X'Men', you name it he did it. He even set up a charity to make musical instruments available to children. He was a top bloke and will be sorely missed...rest in peace Michael.

New version of We're Gonna Win - Bryan has recorded a new version of 'We're Gonna Win' for NHL on TSN Wednesday night hockey with special adapted lyrics and a new harder guitar sound. To watch the full clip go to www.tsn.ca (credit to intothefire.nl for providing the link). I typed the opening altered lyrics below from listening to the clip...it isn't perfect as the sound is bad but you get the idea:
New Opening Lyrics:
we're gonna win
dont wanna be a loser gonna win
cos winning really is the only thing
and everybody wants to win the cup
and everything yet is always tough
the partys gonna get little rough
you bet your life its gonna be a fight
you'd better make it every wednesday night
yeah we're going all the way we're gonna win

Possible new duet on forthcoming album - strong rumours are flying around at the moment that Bryan and the dutch singer 'Do' (more famously known for her vocals on DJ Sammy's version of 'Heaven') will do a duet together on the new album due out next year. According to Do herself the recording will be done in December in London. She also said that Bryan gave her a diamond necklace when they met and Bryan asked if he could write a song for her...to which she said yes. source > intothefire.nl

More new BA news! - Bryan's 4 show stint in BC, Canada recently has raised over a quarter of a million dollars ($266,060) for fire relief. $10 from each $40 ticket went to the proceeds. Well done BA! He has also been performing 'The Best Was Yet To Come' which hasn't been done since the 80's! As most people know he is also touring the USA over New Years including dates in Florida and Mississippi (check out 'Tour Dates' section for more information). Bryan's photo picked for stamp

Rock singer Bryan Adams, also a budding celebrity photographer, will have one of his signature photographs posted across the country.
Canada Post has chosen one of Mr. Adams's informal photographs of Queen Elizabeth as the new definitive, or mass-circulation stamp that will be issued on Dec. 19 in preparation for next year's postage rate change.
The image was selected more than a year ago by Canada Post's volunteer stamp advisory committee after its marketing department found the picture when considering new "official" photographs of Queen Elizabeth.
The stamp, of which 10 million copies will initially be printed, could conceivably be used by Canada Post for several years, according to spokesman Tim McGurrin.
"Bryan Adams, being a true Canadian, realizes just how significant Canada Post using his image for the Queen stamp is," he said yesterday. "It is something that will be going to every door in Canada over the next year."
Mr. Adams, who lives in London, England, said the photograph was an unpublished "out-take" from a session he did with the Queen in late 2001 in preparation for her Golden Jubilee celebrations last year.
"I was thrilled and honoured for my photograph to be chosen by Canada Post," he said yesterday.
The playful photograph breaks from Canada Post's tradition of showing an unsmiling, regal-looking Queen; in this sepia-toned image her back is to a wall, her face is creased with laugh lines and she has a broad, toothy grin. A twinkle in her eyes suggests she was sharing a joke with Mr. Adams as he snapped the shutter.
Mr. Adams, who has developed a following as a "celebrity photographer of celebrities," was chosen as one of several "official" photographers to the Queen, along with her cousin Patrick Lichfield, Prince Andrew and Dazed & Confused magazine founder Paul Rankin.
Mr. McGurrin said Canada Post found the photograph when it began the process of changing its most popular Queen stamp to reflect new rates that go into effect in January. It will be used on the 49¢ stamp placed on domestic mail.
The stamp could conceivably be in circulation for several years, depending on when Canada Post has to raise rates again, Mr. McGurrin said. The rate is tied to inflation. At least 20 million of the stamps are expected to be issued next year.
Mr. McGurrin would not say how much Mr. Adams was paid, but described it as a nominal fee. "They're [photographers] providing us with the images because it is an honour to have them on a stamp."

Bryan gig on 15th to be on TV - yes thats right Bryan's appearence at the 'Fashion Rocks' gig on Wednesday 15th of October will be broadcast in full on Sunday the 19th at 10pm on Channel 4 in the UK. The show has big names appearing like David Bowie, Robbie Williams, Kelis, Beyonce, Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne, Sheryl Crow, Bryan Ferry, Sharlene Spiteri and many more. Each act will be dressed by their adopted fashion label as they sing a song infront of a giant catwalk infront of the stage which will have all the labels models walking up and down. Very reminisent of the Versace '96 stunt BA once pulled.......and of course the '18' tours. Bryan will be singing for Calvin Klein and our money is on him singing 'The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You'.

BA live in London for Princes Trust - Bryan will be performing at the Princes Trust Fashion Rock Show held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on the 15th of October. source: bryan adams.com Other performers include Ozzy Osbourne and Robbie Williams. Should be a great gig. Tickets had already soldout before Bryan's name was even added to the bill.

BA hits the road again - a small tour in B.C. and Alberta has just been confirmed! The schedule and onsale dates will be announced Friday. BA plans to return to the studio to record 2 more songs for the upcoming CD and will coincide with the tourdates. Included in the tour will be his former home town of Vancouver. Look in the 'gigs > tourdates' section for more details. source: bryanadams.com

Yet more album news - BA plans to return to the studio to record two more songs for the upcoming Spring release of his new CD. Universal records recently forgot to pick up BA's contract, this is one of the biggest reasons why the there has been such a delay. source: bryanadams.com

New book project - Bryan has taken on a book project with Calvin Klein in NYC. The book will be similar to his two previous photography books, this one will focus exclusively on American women. He starts the project this week in New York and plans to come back two or three times before the end of the year. No release date has been set. source: bryanadams.com

More new album release news - Michelle the badnews director has sent this statement to everyone directly from BA concerning the new albums release date: "ba's long awaited album of new songs won't be out this year. there is a possibility of a single release, but even that isn't for sure. ba is writing one more song for the record, this means there will be 12 new songs once it comes out. no dates have been set for the recording of the last song. stay tuned! it's really close." You heard it from the horses mouth folks...it's still on it's way :)

Watershed Festival cancelled - bryanadams.com has just announced that the the promotor has decided to cancel the festival, held in Ontario until June 11th, 12th and 13th next year. Poor ticket sales are blamed on SARS, West Nile, Mad Cow and the East Coast Blackout. The organisers hope to keep as many of the original lineup for the festival as possible although it is not known at this stage whether Bryan will be there next June. Ticket holders can get a refund, but for more details and regular announcements check out the official festival website at www.watershedfestival.ca. Bryan is still playing at Detroit and Toronto as planned.

Bob Clearmountain working on new album - Bob recently spent a few days at Bryan's Warehouse Studios in Vancouver recording Mickey Curry's drums for his upcoming album, which Bob's currently mixing at his 'Mix This!' studios in the US. Jim Vallance tells all - ex BA co-writer and legend Jim Vallance has just launched his very own website. It contains VERY interesting details of their relationship together and how some songs came about. It also shows what other projects Jim has been working on since writing with Bryan and his other interests. A very interesting read. To see what all the fuss is about click here go>

18tilidie.co.uk endorsed by capitalfm.com - just a quick note to say thanks to the London based radio station for affiliating themselves with us and providing a link to this site. We are now an official capitalfm fansite. Much appreciated you guys :)

More new album news - as you all know by now 'East Side Story' is a song written by Bryan Adams and Gretchen Peters which appears on the forthcoming 'Chicane' album who provided the backing track (which is the version you can currently download). However it has now come to our attention that BA has a different rock version of the same song on his upcoming album due out in October. (Checkout the news in bryanadams.com for more info) All seems good for the new album as the lyrics so far sound promising...roll on October! If you want to read the lyrics click here go>

'Live At Budokan' goes to #1 in UK DVD Music Chart - yeah thats right Bryan's new DVD is top of the chart in the UK DVD music category even beating the newly released 'Queen - Live At Wembley Stadium'! Still shows Bryan has loads of fans in the UK even without any promo at all...like the #5 chart success that 'Here I Am' showed last year.

Bryan Adams offered Wembley seats in exchange for gig - The mayor of the Romanian town of Tirgu Mures in Transylvania is trying to strike a deal with Canadian pop singer Bryan Adams to play a concert in his town--using seats from Britain’s “old” Wembley Stadium as currency. Mayor Dorin Florea acquired 2,300 seats from the demolished stadium over the Internet to install in the city’s open-air theater, paying only transportation costs. He said he had heard that Adams had expressed interest in one of the seats from Wembley’s royal box and offered to fulfill the pop icon’s dream in exchange for a performance in Tirgu Mures.

New Chicane / BA song unleashed - the new collabaration with Chicane 'East Side Story' has been unleashed well ahead of the albums release date. To hear the song and read the lyrics click here go>

Bryan 'sexiest vegetarian alive!' - Bryan and Shania Twain were named the sexiest vegetarians alive by the People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals on June 30.

'Here I Am used for Vancouver Olympic winning bid' - if you haven't heard already Vancouver have just won the right to host the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Bryan's song 'Here I Am' was used as the song for Vancouver's Olympic presentation and it seemed to do the trick...well done Vancouver!!! So whats the odd's for BA performing at the opening ceremony at the BC Place then...good methinks ;)

Bryan on new rock compilation CD - after just seeing the advert on TV for the rock compilation CD 'The Quiet Storm' we can tell you that Bryan is on it with 'Let's Make A Night To Remember'...but more importantly the advert gives you a good look at the video when it first comes on...so for those people who have never seen it before look out for it!

Bryan to get lifetime achievement award - yes thats right Bryan is picking up a the 'David McTaggart Lifetime Achievement Award' in Munich on August the 15th at the world nature festival. This is to recognise Bryan's efforts to save the whales over the years. According to bryanadams.com he won't be performing...just collecting his award. More information on the festival can be found at www.worldnaturefestival.com

Bryan finds a new co-writer for new album - according to her website Helen Boulding is co-writing with Bryan on his new album. She has previously worked alongside other BA co-writers like Phil Thornally and Eliot Kennedy. She says "'I'd sent Bryan Adams the album, and he rang me on my mobile and said it was great! I'm getting together with him next month to see what happens. I'm a massive fan." Helen comes from Sheffield just like Eliot Kennedy (and me!) although she is now based in London so thats where it's all taking place. Also recently in April she finished a UK tour supporting BA's mate Ronan Keating and will also be writing with him in August for his new album. For anyone expecting BA's album to be nearly finished from this it is clear that he still feels there maybe some songs that need to be added to the album yet....but at least he's workin on it so give him a break! *02/09/03 - A recent statement from the Bryan Adams office confirms this story to be false and says that Bryan isn't writing with Helen*

UK Budokan DVD release put back - yeah thats right everyone in the UK will have to wait a week longer than our European counterparts for the new DVD & CD set, it has now been put back to Monday 23rd June.

News update - not much to write home about really as of late. BA is touring a few select European venues this month and then doing one show a piece in Canada and the US in August. As is common knowledge now the album is due in the fall of this year and Bryan is concentrating all his efforts on that at the moment so it's all quiet on the news front. A reminder that the new 'Live At Budokan' DVD will hopefully be out this month so lookout for that.

More Bristol tickets - For anyone who hasn't yet got tickets for the Bristol gig and are deciding on the day it has been announced that a final 2,000 more pitch standing tickets will be available to buy from the venue at 9am Saturday morning. I am led to believe that prior to this very few tickets for pitch standing were left. All the seating in the Dolman, Williams and Wedlock stands have now sold out. It has been confirmed that 30,000 people will be there!

Bryan Adams / Live At Budokan DVD - yes the new DVD is finally here and after all the rumours it is finally confirmed that it is the gig from Tokyo Budokan June 16th 2000. Below is what is on the DVD...any special features are yet to be known although a few songs do have multiple camera angles. 4 songs from the same gig are added as "bonus songs" like on the Slane DVD...why they aren't just on the normal section is beyond me...and why they have chose to release a DVD so similar to the Slane gig is also beyond me. Why not Wembley Stadium '96? Anyway the new DVD is presented in 5.1 dolby surround and can be viewed in a fullscreen 4:3 aspect ratio and well as a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio. Confirmation of the setlist from the DVD is from areadvd.de and includes exclusive backstage footage. In Germany a release date of June 17th has been set although follow this link to Holland's freerecordshop and you will see a release date for May 19th has been set! (seems unlikely to me but you never know!)

Latest news updates - confirmation of a show in Skive, Denmark on June 12th (see tourdates) and also David Sneddon has been added to the support bill in Bristol.

Bryan chats on Radio 2 - yes on Wednesday April 30th at around 6.30pm Bryan was on the 'Johnny Walker Show' having a chat. In the interview he talked about getting shot by an air-rifle this week (yes he really did but don't worry he's fine!), his new 'Best Of Tour Edition'...coming out in the UK, the forthcoming Bristol and Isle Of Wight gigs, and also life in general. He answered a few funny questions and was very upbeat. He also apparently has a new 'GI' haircut he got done that morning! The full transcript is 12 pages long, took me hours to type up and is available only here! go>

Support act for Bristol confirmed - according to their official website, 'Vega4' will indeed be supporting Bryan Adams once again at the Ashton Gate Stadium on May 17th. The band have been supporting Bryan for nearly a year now...tickets are still available at www.wayahead.com

2 new DVD's to be released in 2003 - That's right 2 new live DVD's are to be released this year according to Bryan recently, and possibly even more. Tokyo, is one gig to be released (although not apparently the one from 2000 so we will wait with anticipation on that one!) while the other is live from Belgium...one would think this might be the famous 'Live! Live! Live!' gig from Werchter in July of '88. Let's hope Wembley Stadium '96 is released next!

25,000 sellout expected for Bristol gig - Preparations are under way for a concert by Bryan Adams at the Ashton Gate Stadium. Production manager Roy Lamb has confirmed that they will be constructing two separate stages for the concert, which will take place on May 17. In addition to the main stage, which will be built into the Atyeo Stand, there will be a smaller flat stage in the middle of the pitch, which will be used for part of the performance. This will mean everyone in the crowd gets the best view possible. The smaller stage is specially designed so that it does not interfere with sight lines when not in use. In addition to this there will be two giant screens on the main stage. Tickets for the concert have now gone on sale for what is expected to be a 25,000 capacity crowd.
