music icon Bryan Adams will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
In addition to receiving this honour, Adams will also perform during the CTV broadcast

is one of Canadas most admired artists and one of our leading ambassadors.
We are proud to have him join the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, said Melanie
Berry, President of CARAS. His distinguished collection of influential recordings
have entertained and inspired many generations of music-lovers and will continue
to do so. More tourdates

the tour so much... he's coming back again in April! This time he's visiting cities
he missed out on the tour last time. Support for the tour will be from Kathleen
Edwards. The Halifax show goes onsale February 10th at 9am from ticketatlantic.com

Allen on Karachi & Lindsay Lohan -
Straight back from Karachi, Pakistan for the weekend and Bryan's manager hit the
BC airwaves to tell listeners about the bands adventures in Pakistan. In a great
interview he tells about the situation backstage in Karachi.... "no groupies
no nothin, just 16 guys with machine guns with the safety's off...ready to go
incase anybody caused any trouble!". He also talks about the meeting they
had with President Gen. Pervez Musharraf, Karachi airport and the dinner (which
the military served!). In the
press conference a girl stood up and she said to Bryan: *Girl:
I know you're going on tour, you're going from here to Qatar then over to Dubai
and into India. So... if you were asked a question "Pakistan is...?",
how would you finish it? *BA: Pakistan is... next to India. *Girl: Why would
you say that!? Why would you say that!? How would you like it if you asked us
that question about Canada and we said "Canada is... next to the United States"? *BA:
I wouldn't mind that at all. *Girl: We can't print that. I want a better answer
than that. That's rude. ...according
to Bruce they re-did it with Bryan saying "Pakistan is a nice place"
before someone shot his head off! The
Lindsay Lohan story also made the conversation with Bruce. In actual fact Bryan
hasn't met Lindsay Lohan... the deal was a friend of his is a friend of hers and
seeing as they were in London they asked if they could stop at his house. The
DJ said he thought Bryan would have been upstairs in bed waiting for his breakfast
goin' "wow.... yeah, now that's room service!". Great interview! I love
Bruce he doesn't mix his words!... straight to the point! download

auctioned for breast cancer - Here's your chance to bid on a beautiful autographed
fender guitar and album awards donated by Tommy Mandell, Jim Vallance and private
collector Nathan Hodgson. Several other collectible items have been graciously
donated by baddies and are also up for bid. Entire proceeds from the guitar goes
to it's current owner, a woman named Kathy who is suffering from breast cancer.
Part proceeds from the awards and other items will go to Kathy - the rest of the
proeceeds to the Sloan Kettering Foundation, a cancer research facility &
hospital that bryan produced last years' American Women photography book for.
The auction runs until February 4th. Click here for more go> Gig
in Dubai cancelled - Unfortunately due to the
sudden death of 'HH Sk Maktoum
bin Rashid Al Maktoum' on the 4th January, Bryan Adams performance in Dubai
at the Media City Amphitheatre, has been cancelled on February 2nd 2006 due to
the country (UAE) being in 40 days official mourning. Management and Promoters
are attempting to reschedule the Dubai show in the coming months. Instore
signing session - Bryan will stop by 'Music World'
in the Chinook Centre, Calgary for an instore signing on January 16th. Adams,
who plays later that night at the Saddledome, will be on-hand from 4-5 p.m. signing
copies of his recently released greatest hits collection 'Anthology'. Nanaimo
show postponed - Bryan Adams much talked
about Nanaimo concert to raise funds towards saving Mount Benson from development
has been moved to August 2006. While the exact date has yet to be determined if
will be an outdoor festival style concert. Once we had our technical staff
visit the Frank Crane Arena it became clear it was never designed to support the
caliber of show that Bryan tours with, said manager Bruce Allen. Weve
got 4 semi-trailers of equipment and no means to do a proper load in. Logistically
we could not put up a first class show with the restrictions inherent in a building
that is geared for ice events. Even though it is a fund-raiser, those that are
buying tickets to see Adams perform, are entitled to a first rate show. This could
not be accomplished in the Frank Crane Arena. The money raised by taking
the show outdoors in the summer stands to be more significant, attracting not
only locals but also visitors to the Island. Bryans goal was to raise
money to support The Nanaimo Area Land Trust in their efforts to purchase Mount
Benson, noted Allen. The change in venue and time of year increases
the likelihood of it being a successful venture. Details of the August concert
will be announced in due course. source: ba.com Adams
to rock for Mount Benson - Bryan will headline
a Nanaimo benefit concert on January 21st. He agreed to appear at Frank Crane
Arena to raise money for the Coalition to Save Mount Benson yesterday. "Bryan
is very enthusiastic to kick off our campaign and to raise money for the mountain,"
said Gail Adrienne, a member of the coalition. Adams is scheduled to play in Victoria
the night before as part of his cross-Canada tour, which started in 2005 and will
end in February 2006. When Adrienne heard he was playing Victoria she called Adams's
dad Conrad, who lives in Nanaimo, and asked for some help. The City of Nanaimo
waived the rental fees for the arena and the rest fell into place, said Adrienne.
Ticket prices and where to purchase them will be announced within the next few
weeks. The money raised from the concert will be used to save Mount Benson from
being logged by making it into a public park. Bryan

fetches $1.6m for charity!!! Bryan
Adams broke another Guinness World Record this week by auctioning off the most
expensive guitar in history for 1.6 million dollars!!! After last year's tsunami
in southeast Asia, the Canadian started getting musicians to sign the white Stratocaster
in hopes of raising money for relief efforts. Just in the last year, it has been
signed by nearly 20 legends, including Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton,
Brian May, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Pete Townshend, Mark Knopfler,
Ray Davies, Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis, Ronnie Wood, Tony Iommi, Angus and
Malcolm Young of AC/DC, Paul McCartney, Sting, Ritchie Blackmore, Def Leppard
and Adams himself. The guitar, which was donated by Fender, was auctioned off
earlier this year for more than $150,000. It was re-auctioned this week and bought
for more than $1.6 million. All proceeds will go towards the Reach Out To Asia
Foundation. |

Stadium Tour in '06! - BA's manager
Bruce Allen was in London October 16th trying to organise an English Football
Stadium Tour for next summer. One of the venues in the planning stages is Chelsea's
Stamford bridge ground. Bruce wants to do a show there because there hasn't been
one there for years and Chelsea Football Club want to do one to celebrate their
centenary (100th Anniversary). Bryan is of course a Chelsea fan. 4 or 5 other
football stadiums across the country will be part of this tour IF all goes to
plan and it goes ahead. No dates have been set yet and the tour is still very
early in the planning stage. Thanks to Bryan & JackFM Anthology

- details of the Anthology release have been sketchy to say the least, but it
now looks as if October 18th is the official date is the USA. The rest of the
world will see it launched in mid to late November. The Lisbon DVD is being released
at the same time as the new double CD. The USA issue has a slightly different
tracklist. It includes the new song 'So Far So Good' but not the new song 'Not
The Man' which is on the international release as well. Also tracks have been
added/removed accordingly on hit status with the international release. Only the
USA though is getting the Limited Edition package with the Lisbon DVD, although

shows mixed in along the way. Bryan appears with 'All For Love' on the second

news update *Bryan confirmed after the forthcoming
Europe dates he will stay in the states until next May touring *There will
be different 'versions' of the anthlogogy and the secret 'duet' will only be on
usa release out end of september... apparently we will know why when we hear it! *He
hopes the new single 'Why Do You Have To Be So Hard To Love' does well in the
states but he's not holding his breath! *'I Was Only Dreamin'' has been released
in France as a duet with Emmanuelle Seigner... it is not yet known if a commercial
single is available but it has gone to air on radio stations. It's performed in
French and goes by the name of 'Ce n'était qu'un rêve'! Thanks
to Noreen Brief news
update - Bryan chatted to fans again recently
and told us what he thinks is happening with forthcoming releases. *'Why Do
You Have To Be So Hard To Love' is the next single (he didn't specify which country
but I'm guessing the USA only). *The Anthology will be "all original songs
plus a new song and a re-mix of an older song that will be a new 'duet'... hopefully!"
one clue bryan gave about the new duet is "it's not with a singer"!
(A guitar battle with a famous person? Who knows!... we can only hope!) *The
'Stripped To The Bone' project is sidelined til after the Anthology and certainly
won't be out this year. *The 'Live In Lisbon' DVD is on target for release
later this year. New
US Promo Video - The 'This Side Of Paradise'
video has finally surfaced and can be viewed here go>
Looks like footage filmed in Austria in early April this year. News
update - From Bryan's latest chat to his fans: *He recorded in Paris this
weekend (June 25/26) *Changed his thoughts on 'Stripped To The Bone' AGAIN!
Will now be similar to Unplugged, some acoustic, some band tracks, but not electric
as previously thought. The title track 'Stripped To The Bone' was recorded this
week in France. There are Irish musicians on the album recorded while on tour
in Ireland in May. Also 'The Way You Make Me Feel' is on the album but that may
change before it's released! It's still planned for October but there is lot's
of commotion about what to do... so that may change. *The 'Live In Lisbon'
DVD is still out for September...he says it's the best recording he's ever done
(hate to disagree Bryan but Wembley '96 is and forever will be)...'Live! Live!
Live!' and 'Waking Up The Nation' are also still in the making! *He's helping
with the Greenpeace campaign and has just added his name to protest against the
Korean and Japanese movement to start whaling again. *He won't be playing '69
at 'Live 8' but will be playing 4 songs with the full band... but not the usual
ones! It will be 2 songs from the new album, a song from unplugged and an acoustic
one. He doesn't know how many out of the 4 songs will be broadcast. *James
Blunt (who is currently riding high in the UK single and album charts) is supporting
Bryan in Europe this September. source:ba.com (thanks to Jack) News
update - Bryan was in chat yet again (must be
bored on the road in the USA!) and here's a brief news rundown: *His perspective
on 'Stripped' has changed yet again! He is thinking of making it into a full rock
album and not just acoustic. He has just wrote a couple of new tunes that have
just happened (PLEASE TURN THESE JIM VALLANCE TRACKS INTO FULL ON ROCK BRYAN!).
The face of the album has now changed so the name of the album may also change.
It will be a song title. *He has just done a video for 'This Side Of Paradise'...
(remember also Bryan filmed footage in Austria for this video also back in March
'05)... seems like that original video may have been binned for a better one.
If this is happening it looks as though the song may get a commcercial single
release in the USA due to it being high on record playlists and going down well. *He
is looking forward to Live 8... he is now playing at the show in Toronto. *After
the September Europe dates he is staying in the USA til May '06 on tour! Thus
no Vancouver/Canada shows planned at all til late next year at earliest. *He
will be at the Toronto Film Festival in September for 'Colour Me Kubrick'... yet
more songs to look forward to. *DVD still planned for September... although
the tour does not promote this. *He is looking forward to being the first artist
to play the new Coventry Ricoh Arena. (Thanks to Karen) Royal

that back on May 12th at Old
Billingsgate in London, Bryan did a charity concert for the Royal Marsden

be performing at Live 8 on July 2nd in Ottawa. Will be performing new songs. *Will
be in the USA Oct, Nov and December. *The new DVD is still on target for a
September release... he has been approving mixes with Bob Clearmountain and it
sounds 'amazing'. *Despite the promo for 'Stripped' advertsing it's release
in the fall, it might be coming out next year as he concentrates on doing promo
for 'Room Service' in the states. He says it's tough to get drawn across 2 continents.
There will only be new songs on it... no old songs. *He thinks WYGG's are funny
in the US... mostly dancers rather than singers. *Loved the Earls Court show
and thought it was fantastic. *Live photos in the new tourbook were taken in
Oberhausen. Thanks to Jill | Stripped
